Couples Coping with Cancer

Who can participate in the study?
Breast cancer patients and their spouse/significant others who:

  1. Are married or in a committed relationship.
  2. Have internet access available at home.
What does participation involve?
You and your partner will be asked to complete the following on two occasions, within 1-month of your surgery and again 6-months later:
  1. Complete a 30-minute questionnaire.
  2. Complete a brief internet-based questionnaire (approximately 8-minutes) nightly for 1-week.
  3. Some couples may be asked to participate in a videotaped interview.
How might I benefit from this study?
  1. Learn about how cancer is affecting your daily life and relationships.
  2. Help health care professionals better understand how patients and their spouses/significant others cope with cancer.
  3. Couples will receive compensation for participating.

Women Coping with Breast Cancer

Who can participate in the study?Breast cancer women who:
  1. Have internet access available at home.

  2. Complete a brief internet-based questionnaire (approximately 8-minutes) nightly for 1-week.

  2. Help health care professionals better understand how patients cope with cancer.
  3. Patients will receive compensation for participating.
